Surety bonds in Fort Worth, Texas — issued fast by Houston's specialty bond agency.
From our Houston office, serving Fort Worth statewide.
Fort Worth's parkway bond is tiered — $10,000 for residential work (driveways, sidewalks, curbs in a residential ROW), $25,000 once you move to commercial parkway work or street and storm drain construction. We write both tiers at Fort Worth Development Services. Plus every Texas state bond FW businesses file: auto dealer, freight broker, notary, bonded title, contractor, court, and fidelity. Same-day issuance from a real Texas agent.

Fort Worth Development Services-ready forms
We use the current City of Fort Worth parkway and street/storm drain bond forms, surety-sealed and executed the same day. No rejected filings at the 200 Texas Street counter because the form is wrong, the seal is missing, or the obligee language is generic.
FW tier fluency
We read the Fort Worth parkway tier rules — residential $10K versus commercial $25K — and the separate $25K street and storm drain bond schedule, so contractors don't carry the wrong bond and get sent back to re-bond mid-project.
Statewide reach from Texas
Every Texas state bond FW businesses need — auto dealer, freight broker BMC-84, notary, bonded title, mortgage broker, public adjuster, TABC — written by the same agent who writes your Fort Worth city bonds. One office, one application.
The bonds the City of Fort Worth actually requires.
These bonds are required by City of Fort Worth ordinance and FW Development Services rule — not by a Texas state agency. You file them at 200 Texas Street, not in Austin.
Parkway Contractor (Residential / Commercial)
$10K / $25KRequired by Fort Worth Development Services for parkway concrete work — driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and parkway concrete in residential or commercial rights-of-way. Tiered amount: $10,000 residential, $25,000 commercial. Annual term.
View bond →Street & Storm Drain Contractor
$25,000Required by Fort Worth Development Services for contractors building or repairing public streets and storm drainage inside FW city limits. Higher-amount bond covering structural roadway and drainage construction. Annual term.
View bond →Issued by Texas state agencies — we write them for Fort Worth clients daily.
These bonds are statewide. The amount, term, and obligee are identical for a Fort Worth dealer and a Houston dealer. Filing happens at a state agency (TxDMV, TX SoS, TDI, TDSML), not the City of Fort Worth.

| Bonded Title (Cert. of Title) | 1.5× value | 3yr (TxDMV) |
| Texas Mortgage Broker | $25K–$50K | Annual (TX DSML) |
| Public Adjuster | $10K | Annual (TDI) |
| TABC Alcohol | Varies | Annual (TABC) |
| Medicare / DMEPOS | $50K | Annual (CMS) |
| Texas Contractor License | Varies | Per trade / TDLR |
| Performance & Payment | 100% of contract | Gov Code Ch. 2253 |
A current Texas auto-dealer bond is $50K for a 2-year term issued by TxDMV — doubled from the old $25K under HB 3533. We see plenty of national pages still quoting the outdated number.

Questions Fort Worth applicants ask us every week.
What municipal bonds does the City of Fort Worth require?
Two main ones. The Fort Worth Development Services Parkway Contractor Bond is tiered: $10,000 for residential parkway work (driveways, sidewalks, curbs in a residential right-of-way) and $25,000 once you move to commercial parkway work. Separately, the Fort Worth Street & Storm Drain Contractor Bond is $25,000 and covers contractors building or repairing public streets and storm drainage. Larger ROW-tied utility and excavation work usually also requires its own permit-level surety.
Where do I file my Fort Worth contractor bond?
At Fort Worth Development Services, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102. The department handles parkway contractor registrations, street and storm drain registrations, and the supporting bonds. We email PDFs the same day and overnight original bonds when the obligee requires originals at the counter.
Residential parkway $10K or commercial parkway $25K — which do I need?
It depends on where you work. Residential parkway $10K covers driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and parkway concrete in residential rights-of-way — small contractors, driveway crews, and concrete subs serving single-family neighborhoods. Commercial parkway $25K is required once you move into commercial parkway work, including driveway approaches and parkway concrete tied to commercial development. Contractors who do both ordinarily carry the higher $25K commercial bond, which satisfies both tiers.
I bought a used vehicle in Fort Worth with no title. What bond do I need?
A Texas bonded title (certificate of title surety bond). The bond amount is 1.5× the appraised value of the vehicle, the term is three years, and the issuing agency is TxDMV. Fort Worth and Tarrant County residents file at the Tarrant County Tax Office at 100 E. Weatherford Street. The bond and Form VTR-130-SOF are processed at the tax office counter. We write Texas bonded titles in about ten minutes.
Do Fort Worth and Arlington share the same contractor framework?
They overlap but are not identical. Both sit in Tarrant County and share state-level licensing through TDLR for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and irrigation. But Fort Worth runs its own Development Services parkway and street/storm drain bond schedule, and Arlington runs its own contractor registration framework under Arlington Code Ch. 5. Contractors working both cities file in both — two bond filings, not one.
Are you a Fort Worth agency or based in Houston?
We are based in Houston — Surety Bond Houston is the surety brand of Moon Insurance Managers, Inc.
