A lifelong Houston-area resident, Dale Moon spent 19 years in Law Enforcement before founding Moon Insurance Agency in 1985. The agency was founded in Clear Lake, and today serves the Houston area and clients across Texas — with surety bonds as a core specialty for more than 40 years.
Dale and his team handle the full range of Texas bond needs, from standard filings to hard-to-place risks. The agency represents respected surety carriers including CNA, Western Surety, RLI Surety, and American Surety Company, and has access to non-standard surety markets — meaning clients with credit challenges or unusual situations can still get bonded when traditional channels turn them away.
Most recently, Dale served as President of the Professional Insurance Agents of Texas. Known for personalized service and long-standing community relationships, he's built a reputation for plain-spoken advice and dependable follow-through — answering his own phone, quoting fast, and getting bonds filed without the runaround.

Every bond we quote and place is underwritten by A-rated surety carriers and filed in compliance with Texas Occupations Code and the requirements of the specific obligee (TxDMV, FMCSA, Texas Secretary of State, City of Houston, etc., as applicable).
We do not charge fees for quotes or applications. Our compensation comes from the surety carrier at the time the bond is bound, at standard industry commission rates.
